What is your opinion about supermarkets compared with markets or shops?Where would you rather go shopping?

If the price difference isn't too bad I would rather go to the market or shops because they are usually locally owned and I like to support them.
I LIKE SMALL SHOPS, MOM AND POP TYPES, NAMASTE
When I have to run quick to the store or buy meats, I go to the local market. When I have to grocery shop, I go to walmart.
All depends on what i need. If i want cheap toilet paper and tea bags then a supermarket. If i want nice bread and good meat then local shops.

Same here!!! I live in VA Beach, VA and EVERYWHERE there is a chain store. When you buy from chain stores the money go's to all the other stores of that company which means it is distributed to places you've never even been to in your life. When you buy from a localy owned store, the money doesn't go everywhere else, it stays in your city which helps your cities economy. Large coorperations like wal-mart and mcdonalds can completely and WILL ruthlessly run-over ma and pa stores if it means more $$$. I have vowed to shop only in ma and pa places.
I prefer markets or shops, the workers are nicer.
I would rather go to a smaller kind but unfortunately the way things go and as expensive as grocery's are normally your bigger places are cheaper!
depend on the day and if im in a hurry, in a hurry gas station need alot of stuff wally world.

Supermarkets,I'm more likely to find everything I need which is the MAIN reason I go to SuperWalmart!
Where ever there are shorter lines.
