That's the secret of Coca Cola. Never to be revealed.Once the fact is revealed the magic of coke will have gone and other brands will benefit. It could be essence of pigs sh*t for all you know it's the unknown that makes it magical.

UK food labeling for Coca-Cola shows the ingredient: "vegetable extract." On the US label, it is referred to as "natural flavors."

In the book, For God, Country and Coca-Cola: The Definitive History of the Great American Soft Drink and the Company That Makes It, Mark Pendergrast gives a wonderful account of the making of the formula and the ingredients that go into Merchandise 7X - the secret blend of 7 different oils: orange, cinnamon, lemon, coriander, nutmeg and neroli (orange blossom). Of course the names Coca-Cola were derived from the two key ingredients: Coca leaves and Kola nuts. Additionally, other vegetable/plant extracts (may) include vanilla and lime.

the cola nut is used as the extract

no idea
