How much water dose the human need to survie?!

Question:

How much water dose the human need to survie?

and im not talking about soda or other liquids just water

Answers:
Our daily need of water is mainly covered through drinking. On a daily basis we need to drink about 1,5 - 2 litres of water. Foodstuffs that have high moisture contents also contribute to our water supply. With our food we absorb about 1 litre of water a day.
Our total required amount of water is 2,5 litres a day. If we drink enough water and eat enough water-containing food, this should not be a problem.
How much water we drink is determined by our habits, not by thirst. When we feel thirsty, this usually is a sign that we have not been drinking a sufficient amount of water.

atleast 8 glass a day.

We can survive a month without food, but only 5-7 days without water.

Consuming massive amounts of water too quickly can kill you. Same goes for being without the liquid for too long. While there's no doubt that humans need water to survive, there is some question about how much you should drink daily to receive optimum health benefits.

Quote:
"For every 25 pounds that you are over weight you add another eight ounce glass of water" . "And when you drink caffeine you need another 8-ounce glass of water because the caffeine absorbs water from the body."

"Sharron Williams, who leads meetings in the workplace for Weight Watchers"

Not less than two ltr per day. More you take, more health.

6-8 8oz glasses a day. If you are outdoors and very active on a hot day - you may need as much as 1 gallon of water that day.

But be careful - you can drink too much water. if you drink too much, it can damage your kidneys and even be fatal. A few months ago, a radio station ran a water drinking contest and one of the participants died.

My husband is a diver and they talk about the rule of 3's. You can survive 3 weeks w/o food, 3 days w/o water, but only 3 minutes w/o air.

4 liters in day

That actually varies by person and condition. Your kidneys have the ability to concentrate your urine and retain more water in situations of decreased intake, however there is a minimum before wastes build up in your body. You lose a minimum of 500mL a day in urine. You also lose a substantial amount of water (700mL) each day through evaporation off you skin, out of the moisture that you breathe out and from sweat. You obviously need more when you are active, in a hot environment etc. Certain foods and or medications alter your urine output and especially hormone concentrations. If your diet is high in foods that contain a lot of water as in fruit, veggies, etc you get water from that too. Overall you could survive in moderate climate on just under 1L but you would have a decreased energy level and this is not recommended.

You need to maintain proper hydration to survive.

The average urine output for adults is 1.5 liters a day. You lose close to an additional liter of water a day through breathing, sweating and bowel movements. Food usually accounts for 20 percent of your total fluid intake, so if you consume 2 liters of water or other beverages a day (a little more than 8 cups) along with your normal diet, you will typically replace the lost fluids.

As long as you could replenish the water you lose through urine and perspiration, you could survive, that amount depends also on the environment, climate, humility and what activities you're doing.

A person should drink 44% of your body weight.
