A Bug with legs in my unopened bottle of Sunny Delight.
I have the receipt
(THIS IS NO JOKE IT'S FOR REAL)
On the 18th of this month went to the 99 cent store in Hawaiian Gardens and I bought 2 bottles of Sunny Delight. I was so thirsty that I gulped almost all of one bottle before I even got to the check stand. Talk about a thirst quencher. Yesterday I needed a quick thirst quencher. I went to the refrigerator and picked it up of f the shelf. I noticed a black spot on what I thought was the outside of the bottle. I tried to rinse it off with water that is when I seen to my Horror that black spot wasn’t on the outside but floating amongst the Sunny Delight inside the unopened bottle. It looks like some sort of a bug. It is black about a 1/8th of an inch long and the body is about 1/4th as wide as it is long not counting its legs. Counting its legs then it is as wide as half its length. Now I an afraid to drink anything that isn’t in a see through bottle. So now what do I

Answers:
Since you have a receipt, you should bring it back and get a refund or replacement.

Return it.

don't open it.
call customer care
go back to the store with recipt and get a new one,
ur lucky it wasent a finger.

eww that is disgusting. my stomach hurts now. i would tell someone from the store abut it.

Go back to the store and exchange it for something else.

Go back to the store and complain that theres a bug in it. and i would also send a leter to the sunny delight company.

If it is really unopened call the company and ask them if you should call the media, CNN or Fox News. Tell them you think you should report it to the news media and ask them WHY you should not.

Never buy anything from that store again would be first on my list. But try and return it also and get your money back. Yuck that is disgusting I have a weak stomach so I probably would have vomitted at the sight of that ewww. Glad you caught that before you drank that.

Return the bottle of Sunny Delight with the bug in it and try not to think about everything else gross you've probably swallowed without even knowing about it. Its just a fact of life, but if you're that worried, don't drink anything thats not in a clear bottle, and if after awhile you still cannot bring yourself to drink anything else, see a therapist.

hire a lawyer and sue sunny delights parent company.

lucky you .......

can you say LAWSUIT ??

good luck in proving .That sucks .
i purchased marmalade one time ,just before i open i saw a big roach ,but how do you prove it ,they going to say you put it there ,even if it's not open.

chug the bottle and eat the bug... cowboy up sissy

Well, I think you need to let both the company know and the store know. I once bought a package of hamburger buns that got moldy in 2 days, before the "sell by" date, and so I emailed the company, as well as took the bread back to the store. The store refunded my money, and the company that made the bread sent me a canvas bag with their company logo on it as well as a coupon for free bread.

Sunny Delight needs to know about the problem so they can recall the product if necessary, and the store needs to know so you can get your money back.

EEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Whatever you do, don't open it. I was going to say call the Sunny Delight company, but I think I'd call your local health department and nearest tv station.

I'm not one to want to cause panic or trouble, but I'm thinking the company might hush it up, whereas we the consumers deserve to know if they are making this kind of mistake. I'm sure stuff like this happens more often than we know, but oh ick!!!!!

At any rate... tell someone who can do something about it!

Good luck!

well frigin take it back will ya. Get your money back, even though it's 99c, you need to tell them that it's not acceptabel for them to sell crap like that. And don't ever go back to that store again. And as for being afraid to drink anything that isn't in a see through bottle, what you experienced is like 1 in 100, so it's unlikley to see that again.

Manufacturers send off spec or discontinued products to the 99 Cents Only store. Keep this in mind when you shop there. I bought some tomatillos from the Wilshire store that filled my house with fruit flies in one day.

Your Sunny D was there because it had bugs in it, as were my tomatillos. This won't happen at Ralph's or Vons.

Call the company and get replacement coupons. You'll need to provide the code info from the bottle. Cash them in at a Ralph's.

Get a hold of the company, they need to know about this. I found a black thing in my milk before and called Landmark Dairy, they picked it up and gave me free milk tickets and some coupons. It turned out to be a burnt chip from glue they seal the cartons with. they were more then grateful I had let them know.and called the next day to let me know what had happened . I got over the fear of cartoned milk in aabout a year but I still pour all liquids in a clear glass just incase.

Get a new one?? Yah that's great like when you go somewhere and you get food poisioning and they offer you free food. Or how bout this sorry theres a fake nail in your chili have a new cup on us...ITS FROM THE SAME BATCH that's totally disgusting. YOU need to email or call the company that manufactures sunny d immediatly that's not acceptable. Bottle companies have sanitation rules in effect for a reason. That's just not acceptable!

that's nasty..don't open it and you should go back to the store then ask them to replace it..

Sue.

Call the company first to complain and ask them how they aer going to make it right. If they tell you something lame like they will repalce it with another bottle, call the local media station. They should take responsibility.

Did they charge extra?
