Whats the difference between spring water and well water?!

Question:

Whats the difference between spring water and well water?

Answers:
According to the FDA:

Spring Water - Bottled water derived from an underground formation from which water flows naturally to the surface of the earth. Spring water must be collected only at the spring or through a borehole tapping the underground formation feeding the spring. Spring water collected with the use of an external force must be from the same underground stratum as the spring and must have all the physical properties before treatment, and be of the same composition and quality as the water that flows naturally to the surface of the earth.

versus

Well Water - Bottled water from a hole bored, drilled or otherwise constructed in the ground, which taps the water aquifer.

Spring water comes from the ground -- an underground spring up to the surface. If you buy Spring water at a grocery store, however, there's an excellent chance it actually comes from a tap.
Well water comes from a man-made well.

Spring water naturally bubbles out of the earth, at the surface. You have to drill into the earth for well water.

spring water comes from the mountains well water come from the grond the water don,t move to any were.

<>Actually, not much difference, really. A spring is an underground aquifer which usually comes to the surface. A well, while often dug or drilled, is merely tapping into that same aquifer and rerouting to a cistern (underground water container).

It depends on the spring and the well

There are springs that are natural fountains fresh water coming out of the ground all most bubbling up

There are different kinds of well there are the dug well and they are mostly open some one just dug a hole in the ground until they hit water

There are drilled wells they are spring fed and they are closed they tend to be deeper

Well maintenance is a must we cleaned our well after the spring run off and just before winter.

The Quality of the water depends on where you live I know of a place not too far a way the ground water is contaminated

And every well has different water it can be high in sulphur or iron

But if you happen to have good water and look after it
it is a wonderful thing
