Is it bad to give a 2 year old too much soda?!

Question:

Is it bad to give a 2 year old too much soda?

Answers:
You shouldn't give a 2 year old any soda, juice or milk, the soda will cause a lot of mouth decay, and possibly stomach problems (ulcers/acid reflux etc.)

yes

A two year old shouldn't be drinking soda period.

LOL!good question ..the thing is, i think it is quite bad ..u know why?well..my small brother is 2 years old, and i gave him some soda cuz he was crying, well,he became silent at that time but this turned out to be serious .he got diarea, and became sick,so i RECCOMEND u,no soda for 2 year olds!

Why on earth are you doing that anyways? Give the kid some milk or juice its cheaper and healthier in the long run. Do you really want to start the kids tooth decay that early in life.

Yes!

Yes! No soda or a rare treat is best. Think: Health!

YES

yes, very... you should be giving your 2 year old water most of the time... the caffeine is unhealthy, the carbonated water bad for the kid's teeth and the sugars are the worst--the create a whole lot of diseases later in life...

you could feed your 2 year old milo, horlicks, juice (better to give fruits), or those drinks with acidophilus in them (over here it's either yakult or vitagen).

If you want to be on Maury in a year or so crying that your child is overweight then yes.

Yes, there are sugar (or artificial sweeteners - which cause their own problems!) artificial colourants, gas, preservatives ..... I could go on. It can cause diabetes, weight gain, tooth rot, behavioural problems, digestive problems .................................

If the child is that thirsty, he should be tested for diabetes.

A little should not harm it unless he or she does have problems with these and many other ingredients and if it is diluted. Best way to give them something nice and looking like the real thing is to buy carbonated water and dilute real fruit juice with it.

Yes. It has caffine. Also the sugar gives too much energy.

Does that mean that you actually give a 2 year old soda?
Boy, oh boy.....

Yep.

You should stick to water (I dont use tap), you should stay away from soda and anything with high fructose corn syrup. If you are going to use milk try soy or lactose free. NO SODA!!!

its bad for anyone to have too much soda.

it's bad to give a two year old ANY soda at all!
please give the kid something healthy - fruit juice, water, milk, anything!

Most of them have caffeine in them and this affects there body more than an adults
And the sugar that is in them is not good for them

I know of a family at the day care that the Dr's told them their child had ADHD and they did not do well on med's then it was brought to their attention what pop can do to a young child and they took her off if she went through a hard time at first but she is now ok and she does not have ADHD she had a sugar high with caffeine added to it
it made her out of control and very moody

It teaches them at an Early age to not eat right

I have a friend who their mother only gave her water and she got milk at meals

did she miss it??

well now as an adult her favourite drink is water and she has great skin /hair/ and nails/ as a child she was not sick as often as her friends and even today she does not get sick often

Drinking plenty of water flushes out the toxins

Ginger ale is OK for them if you do not over do it

A Friend only gives her child herbal teas and water and milk

yes

Yes it is bad for a two year old. At there age they are only suppose to drink water and 100% JUICES.

You should not give a two year old any soda, I am sure natural juice would be better.
