Can too much coffee cause can coffee cause gastrointestinal problems?!

Question:

Can too much coffee cause can coffee cause gastrointestinal problems?

I drank coffee this morning and have a stomach ache :-(

Answers:
Definitely! It is the high concentration of caffeine that coffee contains that is causing your troubles. Caffeine has a laxative effect, which is why I no longer order my Caramel Frappucino with 3 shots of espresso.
Drink decaf instead of regular, if the coffee taste is what you're after. If you are drinking coffee for the extra pep it provides, I recommend having tea or a nice glass of soda in the morning, both of which provide enough caffeine to get you going, but not to get you going to the bathroom! lol

if you didnt eat anything before drinking the coffee then yes.
or maybe you and coffee dont agree.

((((((((YES)))))))))

Yes it can!

sure it can and boy it can bowels move super fast too. Too much of anything is not good for you.

Yeah, coffee is really acidic. It can definitely mess things up a bit. You can buy low acid coffee. Try that if you need a little morning pick-me-up. Feel better!

It can also cause you to repeat yourself.

Acid and caffeine can combine to do that.

Yes if one drinks to much coffee you can get heart burn. Or an upset stomach I have.

If I drink too much coffee sometimes I'll get a wicked gut ache. If I don't eat or I eat something sweet or really rich, it'll give me a stomach ache after coffee too. They make coffee that is easier on your stomach now for this reason.

coffee can make ur digestion difficult.....it can cause....constipation. Coffee also diminishes the colour of ur teeth.....so keeep a distance with coffee...ok!!!

Yes Dannii it can and does, the same thing happened to me two mornings ago and I have also read that too much coffee can also have a detrimental effect on your nervous system.

yes
