yes it did. in 1902 about 1/400 of a grain was found per ounce of syrup. but it became cokaine free in 1929. coca cola was first maketed as medicine and make then it wasn't uncommon for medicine to contain cocaine.

Yes, it did. It was named in 1885 after the two ingredients in the "medicinal" concoction, coca leaves and kola nuts. But just how much cocaine was in the mix is hard to determine.

The original formula of Coca-Cola and the earlier revisions of the formula contained trace amounts of cocaine because one of its key ingredients was coca leaves. For most of the 20th century and now in the 21st century, the revised formula has been using decocainized cola leaves.
