Is it possible to 'scorch' instant coffee by using boiling water?!


Question:

Is it possible to 'scorch' instant coffee by using boiling water?

A couple of years ago someone stopped me filling his cup as he said it did!

No. Boiling water is 212F degrees. For something to scorch it needs to reach at least 338F degrees.

New one. Never heard fo that before. Brewing coffee from actual coffee grind requires some temperature control for best results though.

No, You need boiling water for instant coffee.
The only way you could scorch it is to cook it a long time after making.
