one has frap and the other cap

Sorry for the bad news, but a frappuccino is always cold and a cappuccino is always hot. Your friend is right!

A cappuccino is coffee with scalded milk, also known as a caffe latte.

A frappucino is a play on the word "frappe," which is an iced version of a cappuccino. It is mixed together in a blender and served over crushed ice.

In Greece, they make frappes with Nescafe, and they end up calling it a "Nesfrappe." Tastes great on a hot day.

Frappucino = cold, icy coffee drink

Cappuccino = hot coffee drink w/ milk foam on top

frappuchino= Frozen cappuchino
Cappuchino= Regular capuchino

Frappucino is a cold coffee drink, while Cappucino is a hot coffee drink.

A cappuccino is hot specialty coffee with all the goodies like flavorings and sugar.The fraction is the same expect it is cold and found in the refrigerated section.Both are good but fattening.

Frappaccino is a ice blended drink. Which I absolutely LOVE!! A cappuccino is a hot frothy drink.
