Where is the best coffee known to come from?!

Question:

Where is the best coffee known to come from?

and what are some particular renowned types/brands from there? If you know some, where might I be able to get those? Thanks.

Answers:
the best coffee maybe the most expensive...
if it is true, the answer is the

Kopi Luwak from Indonesia

$160 per pound

Luwak Coffee is made from coffee cherries that have been eaten by common palm civets, which use their keen sense of smell to select the choicest and ripest beans. The digestion process removes the flesh from the crimson Sumatran berry and the beans, supposedly sweeter as a result of having passed through the animal, are hand-collected from the jungle floor.

It is a matter of personal preference. I've heard a lot of talk about Ethiopian coffee, but it's not that good. Some say Columbian is the best, but it's fairly common. You can get good coffee only at coffee shops and sometimes at Whole Foods or other organic stores. You just have to try it... the varieties are very different and there's no way to predict if you'll like it or not. It's like picking wine... someone else might say it's good, but if you don't like it...

Kona coffee from Hawaii. Google Samurai coffee. It's very expensive.

Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee
Hawaiian Kona coffee

These are the best I've ever had. You can get either onlineby doing a search. I don't have specific brand names.

Latin American countries make a lot of good coffee like Colombia and Venezuela.

There are two main species of the coffee plant:
"Arabica" and "Robusta." Arabica beans are definitely more expensive and flavorful. My personal favorite is Sumatra coffee (from Indonesia), with a medium roast. This is a a very flavorful arabica bean and I drink it strong with condensed milk. The condensed milk gives it smoothness and sweetness and brings out the flavor in good coffee. This combination is an excellent dessert drink.
