Whats healthier to drink, tea or coffee?!

Question:

Whats healthier to drink, tea or coffee?

i drink both so i dont really mind, just wondering which is better for me though...

Answers:
You could do without either, tea can have more caffeine than coffee. But neither are suitable for hydrating your body.
I doubt a moderate amount of either will do you any harm, but you should be drinking 4 litres of water a day, tea or coffee do not count towards it.

Here is a suggestion that both are good for you, you can find most claims on Google.

Tea BY FAR!

I'm pretty sure that tea is better, plus it helps your metabolism.

Tea is techincally healthier but each has healthy benefits

tea, definitely

Teas if you are drinking the good ones though! (chamomile, tilo, gree tea)
Studies have shown that caffeine in coffee can raise blood pressure and levels of stress hormones, and if consumed in large quantities it can lead to heart palpitations, jitters and nervousness. People with panic or anxiety disorders may find that they are especially sensitive to caffeine and may find that even a small amount of the stimulant exacerbates their symptoms

tea less caffine try herbal tea or hot water there healthier then standard tea and coffee

Coffee is actually BAD for you. The opposite of healthy :P. Drink green tea. It has antioxidants.

Definately tea.

Evidence for the health benefits of tea greatly outweighs that for coffee. Tea, especially green and white tea, is the source of some of the most powerful antioxidants known.

Japanese researchers have learned that women who drink at least 5 cups of green tea each day cut their risk of dying from heart disease by about a third. Their study followed 40,000 healthy adults for 11 years and was reported in the Journal of the American Medical Association last September.

Black-tea drinkers also appear to enjoy similar protection. Researchers from University College London subjected a group of volunteers to stressful situations over 6 weeks. Those who regularly drank black tea over that time period reported feeling calmer than those asked to drink a placebo beverage with the same amount of caffeine. Tea drinkers also had lower levels of cortisol, the stress hormone that is thought to play an important role in heart disease. But please, be aware that adding milk to tea interferes with its antioxidant activity.

tea, however tea is only slighter in caffeine, but does offer antioxidants,it best to drink green tea because brown tea has been fermented.coffee isn't so bad though.

both of them is good but dont drink too much

TEA - no caffiene doesnt make you a wide eyed owl

It depends on what kind of Tea? Most teas carry less caffeine unless it's brewed.... So your best bet is tea... too much coffee can lead to dental and insomnia and like me addiction.... Substituting tea with coffee is what I was told to lay off of my addiction but thats not your case..... Stick to tea

Black and green tea both have antioxidants called flavinoids (least I think that's the name...don't quite remember for sure).

Coffee has none.

Tea would be better because tea has been clinically proven to provide more healthy effect than coffee.

Tea...

Tea is definetely healtheir for you. Green Tea is very healthy.

tea is better for you you can get green tea which is really good and good for you it has antioxidents in it to help your immune system Arizona Tea makes a good one

I think you should avoid both

Neither is at the top of the things to consume for healthy eating/drinking list, but tea generally has considerably less caffein. I thought this article was very helpful in trying to understand the negatives and positives of each:

Tea is better for you because its high in antioxidants especially green tea which is really good for you

Hi,
Tea is much better for you, especially herbal teas. Normal tea does contain about as much caffein as coffee but tea is great it gives you a lift while calming you down. Tea contains tanins which aren't great- they stain your teeth. Never squeeze the soaked tea bag as this will release more tanins.
Mmm I love tea, might have a cuppa now you mention it !

Well, both of it is good for your body, but make sure that you drink both of it in moderation...

tea

Tea. or Coffee, depends on the caffeine content. Squeeze yer bag too much and it releases loads, dip a good spoonful in and you'll be reeling. It is horses for courses. Also It depends on the colour of the tea and the type of coffee. Decaf, half-caf, the list is endless. It also depends on your sexual orientation too. DO NOT drink tea or coffee if you are gay/lesbian/bisexual or other as it may confuse your entire MO and result in loss of plot. And bog-eye.

Tea is much better, plus its tastier. =D

coffee contains caffeine which is a stimulant so it gives you more energy. if you are prone to anaemia dont drink tea it contains tanine which absorbs all the iron out of your body. as long as you drink in moderation then i think both make no difference to your health. i only drink coffee but only have 2-3 mugs a day

Tea. It is far better for you and deals with a lot of the bad stuff in your body, it's a virtual detox. Take it with lemon or lime for a change, hot, not the American way of chilled. Really refreshing, especially in warm weather. Iced tea is also great straight from the chiller. Coffee is simply a stimulant, you might as well drink Red Bull. Coffee grounds are used in some other treatments I'd rather not think about.

herbal tea....tastes yummy!!!!and no caffeine!!

green tea and black tea, but my fav cinnamon apple tea!
