I call them summer garden fresh sandwiches. I take bread dough and roll them in to small round balls and let them rise. When they get so they are about 4" wide I brush and egg that I have scrambled up and put a pinch of salt in the mixture and brush this over the top before I bake the bread. Then I go to the garden and get cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, green peppers, and bring them in the house, clean them slice them up and get them ready to place on my sandwich.I also add olives, garlic roast beef, or honey ham, you can choose your choice of meat. When the buns are done I take them out of the oven, cut them open, put butter, and mayo on them place all of my ingredients on and a bit of salt and pepper and wow these are so wonderful! I like to eat this with a strawberry shake.
