What makes water safe to drink?!

Question:

What makes water safe to drink?

Answers:
Because it has natural little tiny things in the water that help our body from getting dehydrated. But water can also be dangerous since germs or other dirty stuff can contaminate the water.

because it's pure and there aren't any calories or additives.

Water is safe to drink when there are no harmful fecal pathogens or toxins.

Chlorine. It's added to municipal water supplies to kill harmful bacteria, such as fecal coliform. Then you have the filtration process which will filter out suspended and dissolved solids in the water.

Iodine is often used to disinfect water. I think its preferred over chlorine in taste and effectiveness, but either will work. Don't use it if you think you are pregnant or might be allergic to iodine!
