Coca-Cola Addict?!

Question:

Coca-Cola Addict?

I think I am addicted to Coca-cola. I drink one small bottle (237 mL) every weekday. I think I should stop because I'm scared of getting diabetes. I have been doing this for about a month now.
Should I stop? What are any health problems regarding it?

Answers:
I'm addicted to Coca-Cola as well, but you don't have much to worry about because 237 mL is not bad for a day. But, keep in mind - there is caffeine in coke and caffeine is a drug. It is addictive, and the body keeps on asking for more coke because its addicted to the caffeine drug. When you don't have your supply of caffeine, your body goes into withdrawal and you may feel tired and cranky. If you are worried about getting diabetes, try healthier fruit drinks that are just as tasty. Try drinking coke every other day instead of daily. Just try healthier options, and you should be fine. There's no reason to stop drinking coke altogether.

No...that's not an addiction. I down a 6 pack of dew a day. Doesn't sound like you are compulsively drnking it.

what happens if youy dont drink it for one day. its okay im addicted to chocolate no joke i love it i have to eat it at least once a day. well maybe twice a day. i love chocolate we are secret lovers. just kidding. i think that maybe you just need cola in order to survive its the thing you need everyday to give you that extra boost of energy

Don't worry, a small bottle daily is not addiction and you should not have any health problems. If you are scared, try Diet Coke (yeah, I know, doesn't taste as good) but here is a real Coca Cola addict: LOL

According to Star Magazine, former Pepsi spokesman Britney Spears has picked up a new addiction in rehab: Coca-Cola. The mag reports the former pop star consumes a full case (24 cans) of Coke a day.
.

you should stop and drink plain water instead.coke will rot your teeth and can cause a lot of digestive problems later in life and is fattening and has no nutritional value at all.its only been a month quit now the longer you do it the more difficult it becomes.you will become addicted to either the sugar or the caffeine.i quit drinking diet coke about a month ago because i have health problems that are made worse by drinking it.i did drink diet coke for 20 years or longer i have severe acid reflux and a hiatal hernia and gained a lot of weight the diet coke may have had something to do with it,i dont know.good luck.

Yes you should stop because you my run the risk of having diabetes and if yit runs in your family good luke.

yea I am a coke addict my self. you should try to stop drinking so much as it will increase your chance for diabetes.

I only drink one soda a week now.

You are probably addicted to the caffeine and even if you drink one a day, that's no too bad. Some people drink much more than that. 237ml is only 8 oz - that's not even a full 12 oz can. No worries unless you're concerned then feel free to cut back or substitute water, juice, or milk for the Coke.

when my son was little i would give him a lot of coca cola. im pretty sure its bad 4 u because he couldnt control the way his eyeballs moved and they ended up going into the back of his head,(like the wwe wrestler "undertaker"). apparently he had some kind of seizure from too much coca-cola, but he is fine now. my advice is to cut down on it, maybe drink four a week if you have to. just dont overdose your self with coca-cola.

It does not sound like you are addicted. One small bottle a day is fine. If you are concerned about diabetes you should see a doctor and get checked. You will have to eliminate a lot more than coke if you are prediabetic- you have cut back on fruit juice and fruit as well as all other sugars. you also have to watch your carbs.

one bottle a day is fine. If you want to stop bring down your amount slowly or you'll get caffeine headaches. Soda is really bad for you..but your better off than I am.. I can drink two or three liters a day.

It would be a very good move to stop drinking Coke. You said it, getting diabetes.
