Is my year old air sealed Starbucks coffee grind package expired?!

Question:

Is my year old air sealed Starbucks coffee grind package expired?

I have an air tight sealed package of Mocha Java coffee grinds that was packaged in July of '06. Is it expired now? (hasn't been opened yet)

Thanks.

Answers:
Starbucks packages their coffee in whole bean. It also has a flavor lock seal on the front of the bag. This way air cannot get into it. If it has not been opened and ground, it should be fine. It has at least a 12 month shelf life, due to the way it is sealed.

It may not be as strong as before but it is fine to use.

I would give it the old never fail "taste test" if you like it, use it...if it disgusting, lose it.

No you'll be fine!
