Is it bad to freeze coffee beans?!

Question:

Is it bad to freeze coffee beans?

Answers:
The only time I would freeze coffee beans is if you're trying to save them for a long period of time. If you are using your coffee on a regular basis, taking the coffee in and out of the freezer (or refridgerator) will cause condensation to form on the coffee, which will affect the flavor of the coffee.

Two years as a barista

it might make it a bit more difficult to grind the beans but i freeze ground coffee and it tastes just fine (maintains that fresh coffee grounds smell)

Yes. It separates the oils and makes them taste funky.
Keep it in a dark glass , airtight container in a dark place.
Never in a too cool a place though, not even the fridge!!!

No, Ive heard freezing coffe beans keeps them fresh, longer.

No, not at all, in fact, its been researched to show that freexing the beans helps them to stay fresher longer!
I always keep my packages of coffee beans in the freezer & pull them out when I'm ready to use them. They last soo much longer that way!

:o)

If you mean to keep coffee beans for a while the best thing to do is freeze them, they stay fresh longer this way.
