Is corn syrup in soft drinks awful?!

Question:

Is corn syrup in soft drinks awful?

Before color tv there was only sugar in sodas.

I pretend not to understand the economics of
using corn syrup.

Are any of the newer drinks sweetened with
only cane sugar?

..

Answers:
High fructose corn syrup is by far the worst thing ever devised and it is part of the reason why people in the United States are so hefty. There are a lot of drinks out there without high fructose corn syrup like fruit juices, carbonated water with fruit extracts, teas (Honest Tea comes to mind), and Natucket Nectars. I no longer drink anything that has high fructose corn syrup in it and I have a heck of a lot more energy.

The government pays farmers to grow corn, the left over stuff is put into everything else(e.g.) corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup. I think the name of it is Boylan's? You can get it at Trader Joe's, or Google it.

Jones Soda made in Seattle WA., uses cane sugar.

Hmm yeah corn syrup and/or sugar is really bad for your metabolism. It's the reason so many people are overweight, cos it gives you the feeling of not being full, so you eat more. It's in almost everything - especially take away foods. Organic is the way to go.

Corn syrup is used extensively in the food and drinks industry. The reason is its low price. However, with that low price comes some of the most dangerous medical concerns on the planet. Corn syrup is much more unhealthy than unhealthy sugar. Gary Null, PH D who has a nationally syndicated radio show and is the author if many books, has had a show devoted to the cancer causing effect of plain sugar. Corn syrup is infinitely sweeter and much more unhealthy. Other bodily organs can also shirt down and be destroyed.,

Use powdered pure Stevia available in health food stores, or
a sugar derivative without the sucrose. Aspartame, or any of its trade names is made of ten percent wood alcohol, and for me, that is a no no, don't go there.
