I've no idea how to make either tea or coffee!?!

Question:

I've no idea how to make either tea or coffee!?

How embarrassing! I cant stand warm drinks so its never been something i've worried about, but its very lame asking people if they want a drink and then having to explain they'll have to make it themselves!
If someone could give me a nice clear step by step how to guide (remember I dont know anyting, like how long to leave a tea bag in for, or the amount of stuff used etc etc) about how to make a cup of coffee with instant coffee or a cup of tea with a tea bag!
Thankyou

i work in a coffee shop lol

tea bag maybe a minute or two or drop it in the warm water and serve them there cup they will pull it out themselves? instant coffee read the packages its usually dropping in a tbsp. or 2 in a cup of hot water and stirring

It's all about brewing.
Tea is easy, get some hot water and dunk the tea bad several times until the water is rich with color (all teas have different color, some are light and some are dark.)

Coffee is different. In a coffee machine you need to fill the water tank full of water, usually up until the last cup mark. Then you put coffee into a filter, place the filter in the "basket", close the basket put the coffee pot under it and turn it on. (this is for a full pot in most conventional coffee makers, some are different. Refer to the instruction booklet just in case).

As for instant coffee, I would suggest high quality as the low quality sucks. Boil water, put the instant coffee in the mug first. Then pour the hot water over it and stir. Make sure you dont put the water in first or else it's really hard to stir in.

Hope this helps!

OK, since you don't like it don't make it ..offer your guest some sort of cold beverage instead.

1) boil water
2) Place about 1 teaspoon of coffee into mug, or a teabag.
If you like stronger coffee put more in. For stronger tea leave the bag in longer.
3) fill mug with boiling water
4) add sugar and/or milk
5) call your mother and tell her I think its pathetic she didnt give you any guidance on how to look after yourself. Its good you're trying though, keep it up!

Coffee : Fill with fresh clean cold water to the number of cups desired on the coffee maker, add one rounded TABLESPOON of coffee per cup of coffee
Example: fill water to the line marked "6", add 6 TABLESPOONS of coffee to the basket, pour in the water, turn on, it will shut down auto. when brewed. Use the drip type coffee makers, they are the easiest.

Instant coffee: add 1 tablespoon to a cup of boiling water, this might be the easiest for you to do if you don't drink coffee. It is easy to keep in the house, and make, if someone wants coffee, it doesn't taste as good as fresh coffee but, to those that "JONES" for coffee like me, it'll work ;)

Tea:

1) Heat water.
2) Get mug/cup.
3) Place teabag in.
4) Either leave it for 2 minutes, or dunk the teabag until liquid turns dark (30 seconds).
5) Add sugar/milk/lemon juice, depending on what the person drinking it likes.
5) Stir and Serve.

Coffee (proper, ground, expensive stuff):

1) Get a French Press http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/french_pres...
2) Add 3 tablespoons of coffee.
3) Fill with hot water.
4) Put top on.
5) Leave for 4 minuts.
6) Slowly press down the filter.
7) Serve.

Hope this helps :) As a coffee drinker, I hate instant coffee!
