Lipton Green tea?!

Question:

Lipton Green tea?

are there any known allergies to lipton green tea, like coughing, stuffiness, congestion...

Answers:
Green tea is known to combat some allergies according to studies, but not the other way around. I could not find anything on that.

Article from ScienceDaily:
Allergy sufferers may want to add green tea to their sniffle-fighting arsenal. New evidence suggests that drinking the popular brew may provide some relief. Researchers in Japan identified a compound in green tea that, in laboratory tests, blocks a key cell receptor involved in producing an allergic response. The compound, methylated epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), may have a similar effect in humans, they say. Their study will be described in the Oct. 9 print issue of the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, a peer-reviewed publication of the American Chemical Society, the world's largest scientific society.

I don't know of anybody that has ever had negative effects from consuming green tea. It is very natural and quite healthy. However, Lipton may have added some other ingredients to their green tea that some may be sensitive to. Check the label to see if it is 100% pure green tea leaves.

I've never heard of anyone being allergic to green tea. If the tea is 100% natural and contains no other ingredients, there shouldn't be a problem. Tea is basically soaking dried leaves in hot water and drinking the water, so basically there shouldn't be anything commonly allergic in tea. However you do hear of people with fruit and/or nut allergies, milk allergies, pollen and hayfever which is breathed in. If you do hear about green tea or any kind of tea allergy please let us all know..Thanks!
