Why does root beer froth so much?!

Question:

Why does root beer froth so much?

Root beer lovers know what I mean. You go to the drink bar, fill up your cup, and half of it is froth. This doesn't happen nearly to this extent with other soft drinks. Why? What makes it froth so much?

Answers:
Although sassafras roots and bark may contain natural foaming agents, additional foaming agents such as yucca or quillaja extracts, are often added to increase root beer's froth, head or foaminess.
