Will a glass bottle of iced tea that is put in the freezer eventually explode?!

Question:

Will a glass bottle of iced tea that is put in the freezer eventually explode?

Someone told me that only pop (or soda for all of you non-Detroiters) explodes when you put a glass bottle in the freezer, but I seem to remember more than pop doing this in my household.

Answers:
YEP!

If it is still completely sealed so no air can escape, then yes. Ice has a greater volume than liquid, so eventually it will have no where to go but through the glass.

Well, it will explode, but don't expect a C-4 explosion sound, the water is the only compound that expands and becomes lighter when frozen, so if you have for example 450 cm^2 of unfrozen water, you'll probably have 490cm^2 of frozen water, so by pure phisics, your glass bottle will explode.
