Why is ginger ale not gingery any more?!

Question:

Why is ginger ale not gingery any more?

I feel like when I was a kid, ginger ale gave you a great tingly feeling. These days it just tastes bland.

Answers:
The only one that still tastes good is called Vernors. It has that ginger bite. give it a try.

Try ginger beer. Much more flavor and tingle too

probably beacuse most companies started using artificial flavors

That's 'cause your tongue is used to the bubbles!

Actually, Schweppes is quite good and gingery ... and you could try some Ginger Beer from Jamaica... it is not alcoholic but quite fiery, if that is to your liking ...

and, if you are feeling adventurous, you could add a little ginger syrup to a regular glass of ginger ale and some crushed ice ...

Cheers!

There's too much of that rubbish - high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, and sugar.

Try Vernor's!

The ginger beer/ale with a kick is usually in the organic section now because it uses real ginger. Most of the stuff in the stores is much more gentle, probably for the reasons everyone else listed.

Ginger beer has a lot more of that ginger flavour to it than ginger ale. It is a drink usually found in the international section of supermarkets, or in Jamaican food shops.. you should try it!

i find brand name ginger ale very bland but a no name brand is usually much more 'gingery'. i find most ginger beers have also lost their kick as well
