Why you northamericans names cream to the milk used for the coffee?!

Question:

Why you northamericans names cream to the milk used for the coffee?

i always see in your movies: a coffee please - with cream? - Yes please.
Last year i travel to USA and i bought coffee with cream in a bar, but i discover that that thing was milk.

Answers:
It used to always be cream, and depending where you go now, it sometimes still is. It could also be nondairy creamer or milk. But the habit of calling the white stuff cream remains.

cuz we want to

sometimes we use cream but very often milk just for health reasons :) its better for you and some places are just cheap

Some places just use milk, but most places offer Half and Half - half cream and half milk. Get over it.

Coffee used to be served with real cream, and it still is in a few places. But as people became more health conscious, the demand for cream has diminished. Milk is generally served because more people want milk. In fact, it is increasingly common to see fat-free milk as an alternative.

It's just a matter of people's taste changing over time. The words haven't caught up yet. Hope this helps. Good luck!!

now maybe you will believe. slowly our cows are being replaced by robotic decepticons. they mimic real cows in every way but cannot or WILL NOT give cream... only milk. Paris Hilton is crem de la crem and she turned sour years ago

if you ask for cream and get milk it is because they are too lazy or want to try to get by with milk.

It taste good and if you want to say "May I have MILK in my coffee" then be my guest.

I guess it is anyone's preference.

It depends on where you go and what you accept. If you ask for cream and want cream, then complain and say you asked for cream and not milk. They will serve you milk to be cheap.

If you go to a normal store, you can buy the actual cream.

A lot of people actually use cream. If you were given milk it's because the person serving you was stupid!

you were in a cheap bar.

We don't. I think the place where you bought your coffee did not know the difference. If you wanted cream, you should have been given cream (half & half), not milk. Personally, I prefer cream and if they only have milk, I won't buy the coffee. It makes a difference! Also, the liquid, flavored "cream" is not cream either; it is a non dairy product!

there's still alot of people here that use cream, but alot of people are beginning to use milk to try & be healthier.

:o)
