Does anyone own a SODA STREAM?!

Question:

Does anyone own a SODA STREAM?

and actually use, my parents had one when i was a kid and hardly used it, but i saw the stuff for one in the shops and wondered if any actually used one still?

Answers:
Yes we had one and have one now. It was used a lot when the children were younger. The concentrate was no bad depending on the flavors you liked - i.e., some were horrible but in general they were tasty.

We also used the stuff to make fizzy ice lollies in the summer.

It made a funny farting noise with you injected the gas into the bottles to make the water fizzy. Once the water was fizzy you added the concentrate you wanted. i remember the boys laughing at the noise. It was a fun thing.

Hope this answers your question.

I don't have one, but I always wanted one. Apparantly tho, once, one of the gas cannisters that they use blew up in Tesco, and It took down 3 isles or somethin. :)

I got one only liked the cream soda though the cola tasted really weird stuck in the back of the cupboard now along with all the other crap I have bought used a couple of times & left, God I could make a killing on ebay lol

Yes we have one and it is used occasionally when we need a fizzy drink as we dont buy the overpriced stuff from cadbury/ schwepps.

haha, that is sooooo 80s.

No, or the Teasmade

My mum used to have one but they worked out to be quite expensive once you had bought the gas and all the different flavour syrups. Also, they used to taste really horrid if you didn't put enough or put too much flavouring in! And really horrid if you ran out of gas!!

its like all new things like that a novelty and then gather dust

I remember having one of these when I was younger. I once tried to carbonate some real apple juice in it while my parents were out, but it didn't work and just exploded everywhere! I had to clear up the mess before they both got home or they would have killed me lol!
I didn't realise soda stream still existed ... better dust off our old one ... anyone for fizzy orange???
