Are store bought energy drinks safe?!

Question:

Are store bought energy drinks safe?

i work monday through friday.i probably have one 4 times throughout the week, i heard that red bull was not good for the kidnneys or liver or something, so i drink the monster drink but i still dont know if its safe.. i know they say it dehydrates you but i do drink some water, i am in the sun for periods at a time while working....never felt nauseus or anything.. just dont want it to be in the future wher the doc tells me "at sometime you feed your body something horrible." or something like that. and what is my best alternative for energy booster that works?

Answers:
I believe in moderation, they are ok to drink, but I doubt they are healthy because of the caffeine...etc.

however, if you drink a limited # of them and include water in your diet & other healthy foods, I can't imagine they would be any worse for your body than fast food, alcohol...etc.

As an alternative, try "crystal light on-the-go, Wild Strawberry for Energy:. It has B-Vitamins & caffeine (less than an energy drink but still substancial) and is only 10calories per packet. It will also hydrate you more than an energy drink will.

Also, an apple in the morning (or whenever you begin your day) provides antioxidants, fiber & other nutrients that have been proven to boost your body better than a cup of coffee, and I've tested the theory & actually agree!!!! Incorporate the Crystal Light energy into that morning snack, and you're on your way to a helthy, refreshing energy boost!

Best of luck, work is tough sometimes, I know, so I hope I could help you out some!!

:o)

NO energy drink is "safe" they all have caffeine which if overused can cause permanent neural system damage, i know people who drank cases and cases of it a week and when they stopped they got paralysis

Red bull really isn't good for you! its really full of different chemicals and its messes up your liver worst than beer. Those energy drinks aren't good period. I had a distant cousin who regularly drunk those. I forgot which one but she started to have seizures from them. They did something to her brain and she has seizures regularly [One every month...She takes medicine for it now]
now. Plus they are SUPER addictive! It's like taking a drug. If you drink them try to drink them 2 times a week or less. The next best thing is to get better sleep. Try tea (it doesn't stain your teeth), cappuccino, Coke, Pepsi, or any soda with caffeine. If you dislike sodas all I can say is get better sleep! Good Luck!

red bull f***s with your heart, try berrocka(not sure if the spelling is right)berr-ock-a,energy tablets u put into water sold at upermarkets and chemists,my son had 2 go 2 hospital after only 2 cans 1 day ,it makes the heart race sooooo bad

if you aren't getting them at the store where are you getting them from? How safe is that?!

They have the all naturel teas and sobe drinks.

MOST ENERGY DRINKS ARE NO WORSE FOR YOU THAN SOFT DRINKS (COLAS, ETC.). JUST REMEMBER TO DRINK IN MODERATION. TROUBLE WITH ENERGY DRINKS IS YOU TEND TO GRADUALLY DRINK MORE TO GET THE SAME 'BOOST'.
