What's the best kind of Rootbeer?!

Question:

What's the best kind of Rootbeer?

I really like rootbeer... is there any one kind that's better than others?

Answers:
That's the thing about rootbeer: there are so many different kinds. First we'll talk about commercial/mainstream rootbeers:

A&W is a very nice, creamy rootbeer that is great for floats.
Barqs has a rich, dark taste with a kick. definitely great for just having a drink of rootbeer.
Mug is second rate. don't go there.
Faygo is good. if you're short on cash.

besides these most popular ones, there are also many specialty rootbeers available. almost every gas station will carry a brand you've never heard of before. don't stop till you try them all!

Sasparilla

I also love rootbeer, I recommend Point root beer, which is very creamy with a hint of vanilla. It is sold in a four pack of bottles. I recommend that you try it, it is very good.

Berghoff's
but it's not available everywhere

I think it is called barks rootbeer

Barg's or however you spell it

Dad's Old Fashioned

A&W has the best root beer

I am a huge root beer fan and have tried ALL. I seem to like Mug Root Beer, perfect taste, just fizzy enough, it's good.

A & W is good Barqs, Dads , but the best if you can find it is Dog N Suds : )

A&W hands down!

A&W, draft in a frosty mug. Scoop of ice cream options. Definintly the last word in Root Beer.

A&W, or Shasta. I prefer the cream soda, but their rootbeer`s pretty good.

A&W's is the best ! but no floats !(yuck! too creamy)

I love Dad's and Stewart's rootbeer! I'm not sure if Stewart's is available everywhere, it's a southern thing.

A&W no doubt

A&W root beer is the best if you like super creamy root beer
Barq's is the best when it comes to having that extra bite
Hansen's is the best if you want a no-caffeine, no-preservative root beer

oh definitely!

A&W IS THE BESTand Barq's is a close 2nd.

other good ones:
Mug Rootbeer
Stewart's Rootbeer
Dad's Rootbeer

I tried generic like albertsons brand once, and it was really terrible! Root beer is one soda you have to buy as a name brand.

:o)
