What does the wood rosin in my soda do?!

Question:

What does the wood rosin in my soda do?

Sundrop has "glycerol ester of wood rosin" in it. Is that why it tastes so good?!

Answers:
The glycerol ester of wood rosin is used as a stabilizer for flavoring oils in selected fruit-flavored beverages. This stabilizer weighs down the oils and keeps them in solution.
