Answers:
it's important because it's pertaining to the world's health issue.

there's no one solution. it depends on where you stay... some countries it's just NOT safe to drink tap water, so bottled is the answer. i personally drink tap water--the best water is tap water Filtered and split into alkaline and acidic (you drink the alkaline water).

we should not drink the high priced city water which is nasty

Well here at my house we live surrounded by almond orchards, and we have a well. Due to this we have a lot of nitrates in our drinking water. So we have to drink bottled water. Also our well pulls up a great deal of sand and it is very hard water. I use bottled water for drinking cooking and I give bottled water to my cats and when I run my fountain (tabletop) I need to put bottled water in it as well, unless I want to ruin it ( it will turn everything white d/t the high calicum). City water nearly everywhere you go is contaminated and or treated in some way. In the city where we used to live a dry cleaning co contaminated the city well so now it has to be treated with chlorine, does nothing for the taste. So I prefer bottled, you know what you're gonna get.
