Is Pepsi/Coke bad for Osteoporosis patients?!

Question:

Is Pepsi/Coke bad for Osteoporosis patients?

If yes, is it the caffine, carbonation or sugars?

Answers:
Too much of pretty much anything can be bad for you. It is not the sugar, caffeine or carbonation but the phosphoric acid has been shown to reduce the ability to absorb calcium, thus making bones weaker. It affects everyone differently. Women are more prone to bone density loss then men but that is not all associated with soft drinks. It is also associated with child-bearing, hormones etc.

brown soda in general is bad for all people.

The phosphorus can contribute to leaching of calcium.

the caffine in soda makes your body less able to absorb calcium, so yes.

yes, its because of the caffeine, anything with caffeine. there is also an orange soda that has caffeine i forgot what its called. i havent drank anything with caffeine for a really long time now.

Carbonation is bad for the bones, so it's really not good for people with Osteoporosis.
