why do you hate starbucks. real reasons, not just because they 'suck'.
Answers:
Because 4 dollars and up is too much to pay for a cup of coffee
Because they are incredibly overrated
Because for some reason, a lot of people that go there think it makes them trendy/hip/cool
Most of the people who work there are obnoxious
Because they have turned into this huge conglomerate that is over- marketed
I don't.
Because their coffee tastes like tree bark... its disgusting!
I actually hate starbucks. Mainly because I drink coffee and I'm tired of all these french foofy fancy pancy flavors...

i dont "hate" starbucks! (where did u get that idea?) i just dont appreciate that in my area (mobile,AL) that they are taking over! they are putting local coffee shops out of business!!!!
To tell you the truth I sorta don't like Starbucks either but i like there hot choc. i think the reason you don't like it is because they stuff is really Strong.
I do go there and I like it, but many people don't like it becasue they are expanding and so small coffee shops are going out of business.

i don't really mind Starbucks (they have such good drinks), but this doesn't necesarilly mean it's good for you. starbuck's coffee beans are not as fresh as other places like Peet's coffee. they also have a lot of fat in their drinks particularly because thye may not use good milk just regular fatty milk that tastes good.Their materials aren't always fresh, but they're definitely not expired. They just don't use healthy stuff, but we're allowed to splurge once-in-a-while. :)
My son hates Starbucks because he works there. The customers that come in are so abusive and feel like they are entitled to something. It is an unnecessary luxury like the cellphone.
I hate Starbucks because they are way over priced first off second you can hardly read or pronounce any of there items its really embracing if you ask me.......? I don't think there coffee taste that good either i prefer Dunkin Donuts and its really not because i work there as a manger. Starbucks would be better if they changed a few things like maybe putting sugar and cream in for you its just plan lazy if you ask me. :-)
I just thought you'd like to know that the closest Starbucks to me is 40 miles away, so I've never been to one!
I used to hate Starbucks but I learned that there is one secret drink available from Starbucks for free. Ice water. Ask for it most of the Starbucks shops will make it for free.
They are way overpriced and coffee isnt that great. Its the cool thing to do. People will stand inline for 20 min just to say "i got my coffee from starbucks" . Big whoop. Make your own or go to the gastation and get a cup for sixty cents. Done!
I have to say I love Starbucks. The employees are always friendly. I mean everytime. At least in my area. They've got everything I love: coffee, tea, dessert, fruit bowls, sandwhiches. I also read online that Starbucks is planning to go trans fat free by July 2008. That seems like a positive.
The biggest reason is the prices. They can serve a good cup for less if they wanted. It is for those with money not those trying to make emds meet and have a little extra at the end of the month. Not everyone has it like those who can afford it. besides i can but a whole can of coffee for what one cup costs and have coffee for the month.
i actually love starbucks. its so good i like the hot chocolate and the double chocolate chip frappuccino. so good! but theey have a great selection and u can find them almost anywhere!
Starbucks has become the antithesis of what a real, honest-to-goodness coffee shop is all about. Coffee shops (shoppes, cafes, etc.- take your pick) are nothing without their own unique spirit. This can encompass everything from specialty drinks to decor, and core staff/regulars to community involvement.
Corporate gluttony and self-aggrandizing conformity have all but killed what used to be an almost decent enterprise.

well its not that i HATE them....i mean if i want coffee i will get it there but they are a little on the expensive side, and their plain black coffee tastes worse than one u can get at 7-11
but also, i prefer caribou coffee...i find it much better tasting and more natural ingrediants and also their places are more homier ...is that a word? lol
