do you think they actually give you extra energy or do you mix them with alcohol?

I have mixed red bull with smirnoff triple black before....Had a funky taste...didnt pep me up...Red bull tastes the same as rock star...rock star will give you energy but it and red bull both have bitter tastes....for some weird reason No Fears taste like cheese...i dont like them....Full throttle is the best plus it has 3 different flavors..not to mention a slushy at sonic now....and it will give u a perk but its not good for a fast paced work environment...makes you ill and makes ur heart pound for hrs and makes you feel shaky...Vault just wasnt bubbly enough and i felt sleepy so therefore it sucks....

Red Bull, but the others work as well. I use the cheaper ones when mixing with alcohol because they're a cheaper alternative.

I like "Adrenaline rush" by Sobe for the best taste, but Red Bull still seems to work better for mixing drinks. Energy drinks do pep you up, but they'll drop you after awhile and you'll be more tired than before. The best thing to do is time the effects: one energy drink will last approx 1/2 hr to 1 hr depending on your weight and metabolism.
Flavor water! Coke brand of water is really good.. and so is powerade.

The only thing I've tried was Red Bull and I didn't have extra energy just my regular energy. I never tried Full Throttle or Rock Star so I don't know if they give you extra energy, but when I drink coke cola I get really hyper and I cant stop drinking that.
I like RockStar when i actually drink one (my bf calls it PornStar, for reasons I will not go into)
I dont know that they really give me an energy boost, but they do kinda help me stay awake a little.

Personally, I like the Xs which is not available on the shelf in the stores. The energy drinks you mention are loaded with sugar and while they give you a good boost, you have that sugar crash after.
The Xs on the other hand comparatively contains no sugar and has 4900% of B12. Wide variety of flavors, including some caffeine-free versions for those sensitive to caffeine.
As for taste - tastes much better than the store brands. Xs also makes a great drink mixer - alcoholic or non-alcoholic
