Is there a lot of caffeine in Pepsi?!

Question:

Is there a lot of caffeine in Pepsi?

Is there a lot of caffeine in (regular) Pepsi?
I need something to keep me awake but not wide awake so coffee is out of the question. I got a Pepsi and just want to know, will Pepsi wake me up a little?
It has 25 mg of caffeine in it (I looked it up). Is that a lot?
Will it wake me up a little?

Answers:
It will if you have a low tolerance of caffeine. Mountain Dew has more. I have a high tolerance to caffeine, so I can drink a Pepsi and easily go to sleep after wards.

Some, about the same as coke, Dr Pepper has more and Mt. Dew and Mellow Yellow have much more, About twice as much as coke and pepsi.
In my younger days I would stay up for two or three days without sleep. I used to know exactly how many minutes each different drink would keep me awake during the third day.

It probably will if you normally react to caffeine. If it does usually affect you, you will be awake for awhile!

yes but caffiene does not say it will keep you awake i just found that out not long ago so if that is why you drinl it ,it is no good.

SUGAR!!! tee hee
I found a new "thing" to help me stay awake. It is a small shot of a vitamin B complex. I use to drink Red Bull. Now I found this one, FRUITY! Don't get the lemon one.... YUCK!
It is called "5-Hour Energy". Get it at GNC or, so they say,
7-11 and other quick stops. I love it! No Jitters!!!!! It is a small container and the main ingredient is vitamins.
Hope this helps.

I looked up Rock Star energy drink, and OMG there's like 240mg in a 16 oz can! So no, 25mg is not a lot.

That may actually be a little low of an estimate, it's closer to 40mg. While its enough caffiene to give you a jolt if you aren't used to it, you may build a tolerance over time. Coffee can be a bit much, since a cup can contain as much as 200mg. Surprinsly, one of the highest caffeine counts in a soda is Diet Mr Pibb, at around 65mg per can.

It has 37.5 milligrams...about 2/3 that of Mountain Dew and 1/3 of that in a cup of brewed coffee. Visit the link below for a chart of several popular drinks and their caffeine content. It was very interesting to me.

As far as waking up a little, drinking plain water does help perk me up a lot actually.
