Is Rockstar Energy drink bad for you? How bad can it be?!

Question:

Is Rockstar Energy drink bad for you? How bad can it be?

I've been drinking one every morning instead of coffee for a week now, besides the caffeine intake and calories it doesn't seem too harmful.

Answers:
Drinking one Rock Star per day won't have any negative long-term health effects. And you already know about the "crash" you experience a couple of hours after ANY energy drink. Aside from the feeling of fatigue, the crash isn't harmful...just inconvenient.

The high-end healthy daily limit for caffeine consumption is considered to be around 500 mg. That's assuming you're otherwise healthy (no high blood pressure, heart problems, etc), and you're not pregnant or nursing. While energy drinks tend to contain stimulants OTHER than caffeine (such as guarana), these stimulants are identical to caffeine in almost every way. The exact amount of stimulant in RockStar (or in anything else) can be found either on the can/container, or on the company's website.

it is not bad

It is. There is no doubt it isn't. Rockstar and other energy drinks are bad for you because they surpass sodas and even coffee. It may be hard to notice, but it brings you down hard. It can only give you energy for so long.

Well, if the high doses of sugar, caffeine and calories don't bother you, I don't see anything else in it that is harmful for you. Here's some general info on energy drinks just FYI:
