Favorite mocktails?!

Question:

Favorite mocktails?

I might have a mocktail party

with getting to know neighbors with old friends too...

Tell me how you make them, too.

Answers:
There are many interesting, and better yet, tasty options for mocktails. And more so, if you can get a bar shaker. It really does make a difference in shaken mocktails. And it makes them ice cold as well. Most drinks taste best that way. One advice is to use syrup for sweetening instead of sugar, unless specified. It adds to the flavor. You can buy ready made, or make on using 32 oz. sugar (4 cups), 16 oz. water (2 cups) and the juice of half a lemon (or a whole one, to taste). Put it over medium-high heat and stir until the sugar dissolves, take to a boil and let it reduce a bit, 5-10 mins should be ok. Voila, add it and no need to dissolve sugar in your drinks.

Here are the recipes:

ARNOLD PALMER (named after the golf legend, it sold ready made, but you can always makes yours...no additives ^__^. Also know as Half & Half in some places...not milk based half and half by the way...)

4 oz. Lemonade
4 oz Ice Tea (get creative with this)
Syrup to taste.

Shake it with some ice on a shaker or serve in a tall glass with ice.

EGG CREAM (odd name, since it contains no eggs at all.)

Chocolate syrup
Milk
Soda Water

No measures given, experiment to taste.

FREDDIE BARTHOLOMEW

Ginger ale
Lime Juice
Syrup (if at all)

Again, experiment to taste. A good measure could be half and half again. Shaken if you can!

DARTH VADER (Originally know as Roy Rogers and also know as Grenadini)

Cola drink (your choice, usually coke)
Grenadine syrup (bought ready made, not sure how its made)
1 Maraschino cherry

Serve the coke, add the grenadine syrup, and add a single maraschino.

BEACH SUNSET

3 oz Cranberry juice
3 oz Grapefruit juice
2 oz Peach nectar

Serve and stir. You can add granadine.

SAINT CLEMENT'S (from the English nursery rhyme "Oranges and Lemons")

Half Lemon Juice
Half Orange Juice
Syrup to taste

You can change lemon juice for lemon based soft-drinks or add soda water at the half-half combo. Serve over ice in a tall glass.

SHIRLEY TEMPLE (A classic mocktail, obviously named after the famous child actress)

Ginger ale
Grenadine syrup
Orange Juice

Is made with Ginger ale, grenadine syrup, and orange juice garnished with a maraschino cherry and slice of lemon. The Ginger ale is commonly substituted with 7 Up, Sprite, or similar lemon-lime soft drink, and the orange juice is commonly left out.

VIRGIN PI?A COLADA (Actually, Pi?a Colada was originally made non-alcoholic...So this is THE pi?a colada.

Just leave the alcohol out of your fav pi?a colada recipe.

Example:

1 oz coconut cream
3 oz pineapple juice
1/2 oz syrup
1/2 oz liquid cream
Soda water (optional, not recommended by me ^__^)

Shake it, please. It makes a world of difference. Add a single cherry.
