how much milk should children drink?

Answers:
alot of milk to keep them strong like a glass with every meal

alot, ask the DR. but I am sue you can't overdo it with normal weight kids...
women need 24-oz day so add more.

Well, as long as they are getting their vitimans and minerals, you shouldn`t have to worry about how many cups or whatever that your child should have. Just make sure they are healthy!!!

Actually, children over the age of 6 years should not be drinking milk; excessive milk drinking is known to cause problems with nasal allergies and contribute to congestion with excess mucus. I drank cow's milk all my life, and was plagued with allergies. Since I stopped drinking milk several years ago, I have had no problems with allergies at all, and no sinus problems.
Far better to have your child drink plain WATER.

Milk and Other Calcium-Rich Foods
Calcium builds strong bones to last a lifetime, so you need these foods in your diet.

* 4- to 8-year-olds need 1-2 cups of milk (or another calcium-rich food) each day.
* 9- to 13-year-old girls need 3 cups of milk (or another calcium-rich food) each day.
* 9- to 13-year-old boys need 3 cups of milk (or another calcium-rich food) each day.

If you want something other than milk, you can substitute yogurt, cheese, or calcium-fortified orange juice - just to name a few.

If you drink a gallon you will throw it up so nothing over a gallon at once

healthy normal weight children shouldn't be on any diets until they have gone through all their growth cycles,so whole milk.

My son is 2 and My dr says he drinks too much milk. He gets constipated. He told me to dilute it a little with water. It can also affect the color of their teeth (white patches) .

I've always heard kids can drink as much milk as they want. I've been drinking milk all my life and never had any allergies or nasal problems. Strong bones and teeth, too.
