What's with soda odor?!

Question:

What's with soda odor?

I open pepsi can then i smell a weird smell whats with that?Is it bad?

Answers:
You most probably smell the CO2, carbon dioxide gas escaping from the can. No its not poisonous. The gas is what gives soda drinks their fizzy appearance and taste.

Most of what you are smelling is the chemicals but if you have ever opened a tightly closed container of white sugar, you will never believe your nose.

Since it is refined with charred beef bones (yes, all white sugar is processed that way), that can explain that gaggy smell.

I choose SUCANAT (sugar cane natural) it is brown and imparts a caramel flavor in stuff. It is brown, not white and it is not refined.

no the bad smell that you inhale is just the carbon and all the gas buildup within the can..its just pressurized gas from when they sealed the can..its nothing bad..

at times when i pop a pepsi can or mt dew, i like to inhale that lil bit of gas that comes out.
