Espresso blend?!

Question:

Espresso blend?

It's been 2 years since i have used my old espresso machine and i would just like to ask what type of coffee to use. Is any type of bean ok as long as its ground really fine, or was it coarse? i forgot... I am currently using Movenpick Espresso coffe...

also is it ok to use regular ground coffee in an espresso machine... thanks..

Answers:
It is NOT okay to use regular ground coffee in an espresso machine; your espresso will be extremely weak since the water will go straight through the coarse grounds. They do need to be ground finely at a 2 or 2.5 depends on your machine. If you want to err on the side of caution take the beans to your local coffee shop and have them grind them for an espresso machine.
As for the type of beans to buy, technically you can buy any type of beans. But it's preferable that you buy a darker roast. For example, you can use Espresso, French Roast, or Italian. Hope this helps :)
