Are the the espresso machines any good from walmart?!

Question:

Are the the espresso machines any good from walmart?

Answers:
Probably not. You should search online at different consumer websites and definitely check the brand rankings. You probably want an inexpensive "good" brand. You should try searching on Amazon and the corporate website beforehand. Many of the products like that Wal-Mart sells have no corporate website because they is no company that specializes in them, just a large factory in China.

I can't say for sure, but the keys to good espresso are:
1.)Grind- very fine for espresso
2.) Water quality and temp....clean VERY HOT water is key
3.) Time of brew...it shold take too long for the water to flow through and make the shot, but too quick will be terrible too
4.) If you go to starbucks, ask a barista to tell you about the 3 layers of a good espresso shot.

I guess try to find out more about the particular machine you want, especially how hot it will get the water!

Nothing good ever comes from Wal-Mart.

I'm not sure, but good espresso machines usually cost upwards of $60.

Cross-reference the models on Amazon.com and read the customer reviews on them. Consumerreports.org might have a comprehensive list of the good ones too. Their website is $5/month. If it's a real expensive machine, maybe it's worth the $5 fee.

If you research which maker you want and find a good price at Wal*Mart go for it, you'll probably not find a better price any where else.
