Why is Coca Cola Co. like the Evil Empire?!

Question:

Why is Coca Cola Co. like the Evil Empire?

Answers:
Never heard that comparison before, but I don't think there is a comparison that can be made between the two.

I've heard that comparison using Wal-Mart, but not Coca Cola.

Coca Cola has always been known for its agressive business practices. They've also been under critcism because many soft drinks contain benzene which is a known carcinogen that obviously has adverse effects on the human body when consumed excessively. In addition, from what I hear you don't gain too much favor having children as slave labor in your companies overseas.

If you're talking about the rather harsh punishment for the secretary ready to sell the secret formula to Pepsi, I kinda don't blame them for being upset with her. This isn't like Linux versus Microsoft, this is a time-honored secret to a company's uniqueness.

The Coca-Cola Company has built its soft drink empire one drink at a time. Since 1886, from one soda fountain in Atlanta, Georgia, it expanded around the state of Georgia, then to the rest of country - to Canada, Cuba and Panama. Finally with WW II with the American military, mobile bottling plants and technical advsiors served Coca-Cola to the American GIs and Allies alike. Today, 121 years later, it is available in nearly every country and territory in the world.

No wonder those who are anti-American, anti-Corporation, anti-Globalization or just simply envious would call the Coca-Cola Company an evil empire.

why do u think that?
