Does Guarana have a stronger effect than Caffeine?!

Question:

Does Guarana have a stronger effect than Caffeine?

I've was wondering, whats better, those energy drinks that say that have a whole lot of Guarana or good 'ol caffeine?

thanks,
PT

Answers:
Neither is really stronger, since they can both be put in drinks at varying amounts, so strength is a non-issue. Truthfully, Guarana includes caffeine as well as other energy-giving things. For instance, Theophylline which increases blood flow and heat rate, therefore making you feel more awake. Theobromine is also in guarana, and it stimulates your Central nervous system. Essentially, gurana is like SUPER caffeine, or like caffeine infused with speed. So i guess is does have a bit stronger effect, but a lot of caffeine could override it. Also, gurana is bad for those with heath conditions, obviously.

Wikipedia, for the fancy names.
Life, because I drink "Bawls" which has guana, and I've look it up and asked the guy who I buy it from all aobut this stuff. Bawls is awesome, try it!

Guarana is just another source for caffeine, the amount that is added in energy drinks is based on taste and caffeine content and not so much on the concentration of guarana.

If anything, it's marketing. Enjoy your guarana enery drinks!
