Question:

Im buying a coffee press can anyone recomend a decent coffee!!?

Im new to all this coffee stuff so i would like an idea of where to start?

Can i use all coffees in a press?

Answers:
Most ground coffee will say on the pack "suitable for all coffee machines" some will say "ground for use in a cafetiere" either of these grounds will work for you.

There is now a wide variety of fairly traded coffee available so i recommend experimenting until you find the fair-trade brew for you!

Most coffee also comes with a strength guide from 1 to 5. This refers to the intensity of the flavour and not to the caffeine content. 5 represents a stronger flavour obtained by roasting the beans for longer before grinding.

You can buy blends of beans which usually have a more balanced and rounded flavour or you can by coffee that is from a single plantation - this usually results in a more complex and interesting flavour.

experiment and have fun!

don't' matter the coffee for the bodum. but the beans need to be coarse ground. i use Starbucks espresso myself in my bodum.

Try Starbucks

i used to be a coffee machine engineer and saw hundreds of different coffee beans from all over the world. illy coffee is regarded as one of the best in the world but comes at a price and can be bought as beans or pre ground.

A good quality columbian is always a safe bet.

Lavazza is very good and surprisingly cheap at about £4.30 for a twin pack of 500g. Some say that illy is best but it's very expensive and unless you use it in an espresso maker, it isn't worth it.

STARBUCKS sooths for me. try it
