Does filtered water change the pH to alkaline or simply remove impurities?!

Question:

Does filtered water change the pH to alkaline or simply remove impurities?

Answers:
no pH level changes only impurities removal as you suggested, on the right track right there.

the impurities attach themselves to the filter, and are mostly removed

it removes impurities...you can compare tap water ppm to filter ppm and notice a huge difference

Filtered water simply removes impurities.

Unfiltered water can contain everything you can imagine. However, inside a filter, the stuff in the filter takes up enough room so the bigger stuff in the water like rocks and sediment cannot pass through.

So if that is the case, you can still have stuff like fluorine, chlorine, etc.

The only way to change the pH is to boil the impure water, making distilled water in the process (pH=7).

Normally you do not alter the pH by filtering. pH is a function of ions and thus implies some solubilization meaning it can't be filtered out.

just removes some impurities
