Its normaly quiet! Which is a good thing for me. i normally get a drink and read a book! We need more in librarys!!
starbucks has a good atmosphere, but isn't very comfortable and cozy like some of the locally owned ones in my town. (the frappachinos are amazing, btw, but the coffee is too strong.) try adding local art or antiques, something to give the place personality.
there's a place i know that is small but pretty tall. they have art on the walls, painted murals and framed. they have sofas and coffee tables (surprise surprise), and there's enough room to get around but still be cozy. also, most of the things there are free.....web service, extras, etc. i know as this huge chain that idea isn't exactly company-friendly, but it might help improve the general idea of starbucks, rather than "the last thing you'll see before you die is starbucks because they're EVERYWHERE"!

It makes me uncomfortable.. I love their iced white choc mocha but I always hit the drive-thru. It's too pretentious or something.. weird corporate vibe. I dunno.Maybe I'm just nuts
Jazzy, unique, and welcoming (but only when there are only a few other people in there so you can enjoy it).
But when the place is overly crowded, it can only be described as hectic and hellish.
