Could carbonated water cause or help cause ulcers?

I was told i have symptoms of stomach ulcers but i don't eat pickles, lemons and mexican spicy powder candies anymore except i still drink carbonated waters that are sugar less that i think are what makemy stomach hurt. Could that be the cause?

Answers:
carbonated beverages can aggravate ulcers, and GERD

Stomach ulcers are easily cured with medication. See link below. I have GERD and I take Prilosec OTC for ten years now.
I drink carbonated water when I feel bloated. This is a condition caused by GERD. It helps as if I was taking Alka Seltzer. There is a lot of foods that will cause stomach pain in an ulcer. Empty stomach will cause the burn. I had an ulcer too. It was cured with medication. (Prilosec and antibiotics).
The funny thing is I can eat spicy food all day. Acidic food kills real bad. I love my O.J

If you are drinking carbonated drinks that are sugar free, and these drinks have Aspartame, then that could be causing it. Aspartame is actually worse than processed sugar and contains the same substances contained in wood alcohol.

Also, I have heard that carbonated beverages are actually the worst American food product for your body. Aspartame is #2 or #3. Combine those and drink lots of it and it can cause stomach aches and headaches.
