Would a bottle of coca cola from 1963 still taste ok?!

Question:

Would a bottle of coca cola from 1963 still taste ok?

i have a bottle of cola with a best before date 0f june 1963. I was wondering if i opened it if it would taste like regular cola or if it would have gone bad? whats the science?

Answers:
It would probably still taste like Coca-Cola but without carbonation. The oldest coke I tasted was about 8 years old from a can and it still tasted like Coke but just flat.

Personal experience.

Well, ya won't know unless you open it and drink up.

Cheers!

Well I don't know the science, but I wouldn't drink it if I were you. Or if you really, really, REALLY, want to drink it then save the bottle. It could be worth money someday.

I Think you should

Pop the top

My guess it would be bad. Is it worth the chance?

its going to flat as hell thats for damn sure

i would sell it on ebay

I wouldn't open it...I would keep it...but then again...I like to collect things.

years ago they didnt have best before dates go ahead and open it

dont really no try it and if you have not come back to us with in 20 mins we no its bad and it has killed you
lol

It must be worth a fortune. Put it in eBay and u can have as much fresh coke as you like.

Hey in those days didn't coke have real cocaine in it ??, anyway keep it, i bet its worth a penny or two !!.

Out of date coke doesn't taste good. It has gone bad. It is worth more left sealed and as is. As for the science - " it has spoiled ".

Did u know that coca cola use to put cocaine in its coke thats why it has that name well so ive been told, could be worth something unopened.

I wouldn't try it simply because an un-drank bottle of coke from 1963 could possibly be worth a lot of money to a collector!!

no

I bet you could sell it for loads, it will have cocaine in!!

Coca-Cola wasn't completely cocaine-free until 1929.. I think you're okay there. But sugar water with caramel-colored syrup? That's not too good. Save it, might be worth some money?

did you know that some one dig out a limited edition sonic the hedgehog pasta shapes tin ( with contents ) from 1990 in his loft and ot sold to a private collector for £109 at auction. i say see if its worth anything!! there are some wierd collectors out there and you may have a golden ticket to some cash. but personally i wouldnt try it

Only if you don't want to be here in the morning open it>But people are right sell it to some yank they buy anything.even bottle tops and empty bottles of coke make a few £s X Cindy

Yea! sell it on E-bay...or keep it, but dont open it! youll regret it later.

Let us know how it tastes, I think curiosity is going to get the better of you somehow.

have u ever had a bottle of cola in the fridge thats no bn opened for a couple of weeks it tastes rank so i dont think it would be ok to drink

It will probably taste fine.
Only next day, your stomach may not be.

It probbably wouldn't. It would be all flat and stuff. My friend tried a coke that was 5 years old and it was disgusting

No, of course not!

no don't drink it,... i mean if they say best before date of june 1963, why would you drink it in the year 2007??..
but anyways, maybe you should find how much it's worth, if it looks something like this

http://cgi.ebay.com/brookside-al-script-...

ill sell it if it was mines

I wouldn't drink it if I were you, but I'm not you so you can do as you wish! If you drink it and get sick, you will know what caused it, at least! Save the bottle to take to the doctors for testing! lol

Probably ok if it wasn't stored in direct sunlight. However, put it on ebay, there's collectors out there who'll snap it up! (Don't forget my 10%)

sell it or save it to sell at a later date should get a few bob
