Is it true the Coke discontinued Dr. Pepper?!

Question:

Is it true the Coke discontinued Dr. Pepper?

Answers:
Nope, I bet they would like to, but...

Back in the 80's Coke tried to buy Dr. Pepper, but they were denied by the US Federal Trade Comission.
Eventually, Dr. Pepper was bought by the same group of investors that bought 7Up from the Phillip Morris company. Dr. Pepper and 7Up merged to form the one company (Dr. Pepper/7Up, Inc.). However, Coke does have ownership of Dr. Pepper's overseas sales, as does Pepsi with 7Up.

Sooo, maybe.
Dr. Pepper/7Up are probably trying to handle their own overseas sales.

Wikipedia,
it's great, isn't it?

hell no!

Dr. Pepper is a 7-Up product.

not true just a rumor....

Dr. Pepper/7-up are their own company, so Coke can't discontinue them. Considering that Dr. Pepper is the 6th best selling soft drink behind Coke, Pepsi, Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi and Cherry Coke and it is the best selling non-cola based product in the US, I highly doubt they would be discontinued for any reason even if Coke did own them.

Coke makes Mr. Pibb. Dr. Pepper is its own company

no I don't even think they are owned by coke

Dont worry. Dr. Pepper is a favorite.
They wouldnt dicontinue something that brings money in.

--Maybe Im wrong, but I dont think Dr. Pepper is owned by Coka Cola

Coke doesn't make Dr Pepper, it's made by the 7UP company & in Illinois it's still available. :)

NO I just bought some the other day and they where filling the shelves as I left as it was the day for the man to fill the displays.
