What's the best alternative to the white stuff for my morning coffee?!

Question:

What's the best alternative to the white stuff for my morning coffee?

I need an alternative for that yummy non-dairy creamer with it's ultra processed and refined ingredients. We're trying to eat healthier and it just doesn't fit the bill. I'm not sure what they use at coffee houses - but I need creamy, sweet, and available in French Vanilla and Hazelnut.

I should clarify that by healthier I mean less processed, not less calories. A big reason for the switch is getting away from the artificial sweetners/corn derivitives. I have high caloric needs (I'm active, pregnant and nursing so I need another 800 more a day than most folks) and this is my one cup a day indulgement.

why don't you try using real milk or cream and a flavored syrup for the sweetness.

It's not healthy to keep going for the sweet and creamy. I use only a heaped teaspoonful of dried skim milk in my coffee. Once you get used to it, it's great. Or you could try getting used to coffee black. It doesn't take as long as you might think to get to love it that way. I know I used to be a cream -and -suger in my coffee and tea lover, but now it is dried milk only and I hate it when sugar is added.

Silk soymilk products have all kinds of alternatives for coffee creamer... check it:

Half and half, and a flavored syrup (if you have to have the flavors).

Try milk powder, it usually the best, its really creamy and nice, and soy milk in also xool, for sugar you can try tat new artificial sugar they made, that is jst like sugar but with less calories...or you could jst you condense milk it sugar and milk in one, its what i use.

dry powdered milk, flavored extract and raw unprocessed sugar.

they make rice milk in vanilla, maybe they make it in hazelnut too? look for the brand rice dream. they r really good.

Oooooooooo...look in your local grocer's dairy section for something to whiten your coffee. I find the brand name stuff pretty creamy & lots of flavor!
