my aunt was wondering what they drink in soap operas when they are in a bar. i thought it was o'dooles (that stuff is terrible though)so does anyone know what they drink?
Answers:
Having acted a bit in dinner-theatre, I can tell you that we used to use water (for vodka) and tea (for bourbon). Ginger ale was the substitute for champagne.
For wines, we'd use either Kool-Aid or fruit juices.
The beer would be O'Doules but I remember once that for the last night of our run, we secretly substituted REAL beer for the fake stuff. How we managed to remember our lines is still beyond me. I do recall that we all were laughing a lot (even during the "serious" scenes). Reminded me of something out of Carol Burnett or Benny Hill.
