How many time chinese tea leafs can be re-used?!

Question:

How many time chinese tea leafs can be re-used?

Moreover, can the tea leafs be kept overnight dipped in little bit water so that they are ready & can leave color the next morning ?

Answers:
When I was in China, some people would use the same tea leaves for days, adding boiled water to the same jar (yes, they use a jar) again and again. I think for black tea and cheap green tea this is fine. But for very expensive tea, there are traditional protocols. In a traditional tea pouring service, they actually don't use the first pot at all. They dump it out. But after the second and third steeping, it's done.

don't re-use it. after leaving it over night, molds are growing in them.

i did keep it over night but it was only the leaf in the pot. i leave it overnight as sometimes i brew it late at night and i only brew few infusions. the tea can last for 7-8 infusions, so i keep the for tomorrow morning. but i dont keep them for more than 2 days.

ussually i do this to my oolong tea. maybe you can ask the people at teacuppa.com. i get my tea from them they are quite helpful when you need help with your teas.
